Who We Are

We’re Denise and Justin, a couple who first crossed paths in September 2015 and have been on an incredible journey of discovery together ever since. From spontaneous road trips to venturing further afield, exploring near and far has become a shared passion that fuels our adventures.

Curious about what makes our travel style tick? You’ve come to the right place! Here, you’ll find our unfiltered experiences, stories, and pictures. We’re just regular folks trying to squeeze the most out of life. We’re not here to persuade you to visit specific places; we know everyone’s travel style is unique. Instead, our stories are simply our experiences, including those moments we wish we’d done differently or places we wished we had more time in, because let’s face it, not every trip is perfect!

For us, travel is all about enjoying the moment, but we also love capturing tons of photos and videos. Those digital memories are important to allow us to revisit our adventures long after we’ve returned home.

Since we both work full-time, our trips are a mix of everything – varying in price, location, distance, and activity. We know we can’t get everywhere, but wherever we do go, we’re excited to share it with you. And as a child-free couple, we definitely have the flexibility to get out of town a bit more often, which we certainly take advantage of!

While our passion for travel started long before Footprints & Freeways came to life in 2025, we’re hoping to catch up on sharing those past adventures, all while continuing to document our new ones. We genuinely hope that what we share here is helpful or inspirational for your next trip, or simply provides a fun escape as you follow along on ours!
